$64K CARRYOVER INTO SATURDAY’S SIXTY MINUTE 6
The Sixty Minute 6, a new wager combining races from Monmouth, Belmont, Philadelphia Park and Delaware, debuted last Saturday and instantly produced added excitement for its second installment this Saturday, June 28. No one correctly selected all six winners in the initial Sixty Minute 6, thereby producing a carryover of $64,477.55 into this Saturday’s wager.
“It was a great debut for this new wager,” said Dennis Dowd, senior vice president of racing for the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority. “The handle certainly reflected that there’s a great interest around the Sixty Minute 6, and it should provide added excitement to the upcoming Saturday cards.”

COLI BEAR TAKES SUNDAY’S BLUE SPARKLER; CHITOZ EQUALS TRACK RECORD IN FOWLER SCORE
OCEANPORT, N.J. * Barbara and G. Chris Coleman’s Coli Bear wore down pacesetter My Sister Sue in the shadow of the wire to post a half-length victory in the $70,000 Blue Sparkler Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday.
In the $60,000 Anderson Fowler Stakes, Chitoz took command at the break and was never headed as he equaled the track record of 1:01.85 for 5 ½ furlongs on turf.
Coli Bear, trained by Bruce Levine, covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:09 3/5 and returned $11, $5 and $3.40 and topped a $45.20 exacta. My Sister Sue returned $4.20 to place and $3 to show. Princess Janie was another 5 ¼ lengths back in third, and paid $4.40.

J Z WARRIOR CAPTURES DEARLY PRECIOUS STAKES BY FOUR; IRISH SMOKE 2ND, D’WILD RIDE 3RD IN MONMOUTH FILLY SPRINT
OCEANPORT, N.J. * Zayat Stables’s J Z Warrior took command at the start and was never threatened as she sped to a four-length victory in the $70,000 Dearly Precious Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, a new wager, the Sixty Minute Pick 6, made its debut and immediately guaranteed excitement for next Saturday when it produced a carryover result. The new wager, which started with a guaranteed pool of $100,000, attracted total betting of $114,627. Five of six winners returned $3,907.60, and a total of $64,477.55 will be carried over to next Saturday’s Sixty Minute Pick 6.

Sunday’s $70,000 Blue Sparkler Stakes for fillies and mares will be a fast affair. There are at least three dedicated speedsters entered in the six-furlong event, including My Sister Sue, who won last year’s edition of the Blue Sparkler; Pure Disco, who is usually intent on setting the pace, and Casino Transaction who won the Red Cross Stakes last out in wire-to-wire fashion.

ARUBAN SANDWICH UPSETS FEATURE ON MONMOUTH TURF
Sondra Bender’s Aruban Sandwich collared the leader in midstretch and went on to an upset victory in the $40,000 allowance feature on the Monmouth turf course Friday.
The winner, trained by Larry Murray and ridden by Carlos H. Marquez Jr., raced the mile and an eighth over firm turf in 1:48 3/5 and paid $30.60, $11 and $5 across the board after scoring by one length.
No Use Denying, the 2-1 second choice, set all the fractions and held on for second, paying $4.80 to place and $3.20 to show and completing the $125.80 exacta. Succeed, the 8-5 choice in the field of seven, finished third, a length and a quarter farther back, and paid $2.60 to show.
Aruban Sandwich , a 4-year-old daughter of Alphabet Soup, shipped in from Maryland to pick up her second victory of the year in four starts. The filly, bred by her owner, broke her maiden on the grass at Pimlico in May.

INVENTIVE ROLLS TO VICTORY AT MONMOUTH PARK
OCEANPORT, N.J. * Inventive, coming off a pair of thirds in stakes races, proved she was best of them all at Monmouth Park on Thursday, as she drew off to capture the $41,000 allowance/optional claiming feature by nearly four lengths.
The winner, trained by Richard Small and ridden by Carlos H. Marquez Jr., gained command at the eighth pole and dominated through the stretch as she completed the mile and a sixteenth over a fast track in 1:46 4/5.

SUMPTUOUS LOOKS SET FOR TOP EFFORT IN DEARLY PRECIOUS
Edward P. Evans’s Sumptuous, a fast-closing second last out in the Just Smashing Stakes at five and a half furlongs, gets another sixteenth of a mile to work with Saturday when she tries 3-year-old fillies again in the $70,000 Dearly Precious Stakes at six furlongs.
The daughter of Hennessy has two career wins in eight starts, and both have come at the Dearly Precious distance. She broke her maiden at the Meadowlands last year, one race after running third at five and a half furlongs. She chalked up her second lifetime win on March 29 over the inner track at Aqueduct.

DIVINE MASTER SCORES IN WEDNESDAY FEATURE AT MONMOUTH
OCEANPORT, N.J. * Sullivan Lane Stable’s Divine Master took command out of the gate and drew off in the stretch to post a 3 ¾ length victory in the $41,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Wednesday.
Trained by Richard Dutrow Jr., Divine Master stepped the mile and a sixteenth over firm turf in 1:40 2/5 and returned $3.60, $2.60 and $2.20 as the odds-on favorite in the field of six colts and geldings. Codeword returned $3 to place and $2.40 to show and completed a $13.60 exacta. Tastefully Smart, who finished another length and a quarter back, returned $2.60 to show.
Divine Master, a 4-year-old by Montbrook from the Kris S. mare Issima, gave jockey Eddie Castro his fourth winner on the card. Earlier in the day Castro scored with Miss Challenge ($10.40) in the fourth race, Timber Ferry ($9.40) in the fifth and Tiger D. R. ($3.40) in the seventh.
