UNBRIDLED HUMOR WELL SPOTTED FOR $100,000 VIOLET STAKES
Unbridled Humor will be looking for her first win of the year and her first graded stakes victory since last September when she goes postward in Monday’s Grade 3 $100,000 Violet Stakes. The mile and a sixteenth turf test is the first of Monmouth’s 17 graded stakes races to be contested during the meet.
Last time out on April 7 in a grass race at the same distance at Tampa Bay Downs, Unbridled Humor rallied to miss by only a head in the $75,000 Turf Distaff for Florida-bred fillies and mares. In her prior effort, the daughter of Distorted Humor, who is owned and was bred by Live Oak Plantation, faded late going longer but still hung tough for third in the Grade 3 Hillsborough Stakes at the same track.

PUREST FORM AND GLAMOUR N GLORY GOOD TO GO FOR THE WEEKEND PAIR OF 3YO STAKES FOR TRAINER DAVID FAWKES
“They are both ready and as good as they can be,” Scott Acker, the assistant to trainer David Fawkes, pronounced on Friday morning as he supervised the final preparations of Purest Form and Glamour N Glory in Saturday’s $60,000 Lamplighter Stakes for colts and geldings and Sunday’s $60,000 Little Silver Stakes restricted to fillies, respectively.
The Lamplighter is for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 mile on the turf and Purest Form is certainly bred to excel on it. He is a grandson of Dynaformer and a son of Purim, a multiple graded stakes winner who competed in the Breeders Cup Mile on this course in 2007 and won the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes at Keeneland that same year.
