ZENYATTA WORKS SIX FURLONGS IN 1:13 4/5 OVER CUSHION TRACK
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 25, 2010)—Zenyatta completed her serious preparation for the $250,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes, Presented by TVG, on Oct. 2 at Hollywood Park with a six furlong work Saturday morning.
Working with stablemate El Vino, the 6-year-old Street Cry mare, who is undefeated in 18 starts, was timed for the move over Cushion Track in 1:13 4/5, according to Hollywood Park clocker Russ Hudak.

ZENYATTA, BLIND LUCK HEAD LADY’S SECRET NOMINEES
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 24, 2010)—Zenyatta, who has won all 18 of her starts for owners Jerry and Ann Moss and trainer John Shirreffs, is among 14 fillies and mares nominated to the $250,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes Presented by TVG.
Scheduled for 1 1/16 miles over the Cushion Track at Hollywood Park, the Lady’s Secret is one of six Grade 1 races that will be run over the first weekend of the inaugural Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meet.

SHOW ME THE MONEY CONTEST STARTS OPENING NIGHT
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 22, 2010) — The popular Show Me The Money contest — featuring a winner-take-all prize of $2,500 — returns when the Oak Tree at Hollywood Park meet begins on Thursday night, September 30.
Contestants pick one horse each racing day. If the horse runs first, second or third, contestants remain in the contest. If the horse runs out of the money, contestants are eliminated. Selections are due 10 minutes before the first race each day.

OAK TREE HANDICAPPING CHALLENGE BEGINS OCT. 1
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2010)—The first round of the Oak Tree Handicapping Challenge will begin Oct. 1 and continue through Oct. 3.
Players will have a chance to win a share of $5,000 and a large flat screen television. Entry is free into the contest where a handicapper gets to test their skills with win, place and show wagers.

ZENYATTA WORKS SIX FURLONGS IN 1:13 1/5 PREPPING FOR LADY’S SECRET
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 10, 2010)—Prepping for a possible third victory in the $250,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes on Oct. 2, Zenyatta worked six furlongs in 1:13 1/5 Friday morning at Hollywood Park.
Undefeated in 18 starts for owners Jerry and Ann Moss and trainer John Shirreffs, the 6-year-old Street Cry mare worked with stablemate El Vino and completed the last quarter mile of the drill in 23 1/5, according to Hollywood Park clocker Russ Hudak.

HOLLYWOOD PARK, OAK TREE AGREE TO SECOND MEET IN 2011
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (September 3, 2010)—The spirit of cooperation and the manner in which planning for the first Oak Tree meet at Hollywood Park has progressed has led to the two sides agreeing to run a second fall meet at the venue in 2011.
An agreement was finalized Friday to continue the arrangement, meaning plans call for Oak Tree’s 2010 and 2011 seasons to be conducted here.

TALAMO WINS FIVE, INCLUDING MOCCASIN ABOARD BICKERSONS
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2009) — Jockey Joe Talamo capped a four-win afternoon with a victory aboard eastern horse Bickersons in the $100,000 Moccasin Stakes on Sunday at Hollywood Park.
Talamo, 19, rode a perfect race, briefly relinquishing the lead on the backstretch when Bickersons was challenged by Neeko, and the Canadian-bred had plenty left when challenged by favorite Crisis of Spirit rounding the far turn.

END OF OAK TREE MEET RELEASE
ARCADIA, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2009)—Buoyed by perhaps the greatest performance in Santa Anita history, the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meeting ended on a high note Sunday as the racing world continued to resonate with awe in the wake of superstar Zenyatta’s devastating win against males in Saturday’s Gr. I, $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic before an on-track crowd of 58,845.
Held for an unprecedented second consecutive year at the same venue, the two-day Breeders’ Cup World Championships attracted a total of 96,496 fans on-track, up from 82,578 last year, for an increase of 17 percent. Friday’s attendance of 37,651 was an increase of 20 percent over last year’s day-one crowd of 31,257.

ZENYATTA 2009 OAK TREE HORSE OF THE MEET
ARCADIA, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2009) – Undefeated Zenyatta, who etched her mark indelibly into racing lore with a history-making triumph over males in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita on Saturday, was unanimously voted Horse of the Meet in the annual Media Poll for the Oak Tree season.
Her stirring last-to-first victory under Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith, witnessed by an electric on-track crowd of 58,845, extended her winning streak to 14, surpassing Personal Ensign’s record of 13, and thrust Zenyatta firmly into the forefront for Horse of the Year honors against the 3-year-old filly Rachel Alexandra. The latter three times defeated males in an unbeaten campaign of eight starts this year but did not compete in the 26th Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
