COACH BOB’S $47 STUNNER UNDER APPRENTICE FLORES IN FRIDAY’S NOTHING TO CHANCE PURSE


ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 20, 2012) – Coach Bob, afforded little chance among five California-bred 3-year-olds competing in Friday’s $58,000 Nothing to Chance Purse at Santa Anita, shot to the front and left the others in his wake with a stunning 3 ½-length victory under apprentice jockey Eswan Flores to pay $47.

“This is huge; really, really big,” exclaimed co-owner and trainer Reina Gonzalez in the winner’s circle after she had trailered the bay colt down from Pleasanton in Northern California to make his first start in Southern California following seven races at Golden Gate and Santa Rosa that had produced one victory.
