A roan/gray daughter of Tale of the Cat, Twice Told Tale was winning for the second time in three starts. She finished a good third in her debut at Belmont Park on Oct. 8 and came back to break her maiden in her second start over the Gulfstream track on Dec. 7 as the even-money favorite.
Twice Told Tale paid a generous $14.80 for $2 to win. Midwest Thoroughbreds’ My Craze Dayse finished third, 3 ¾ lengths behind 2-to-1 favorite Barisoff in the field of nine 3-year-old fillies as the winner was timed in 1:11:38 over the ‘fast’ track.
Who’s Hot: Jockeys Joel Rosario posted three winners on the afternoon while John Velazquez had a double. Rosario moved into third in the Gulfstream standings with 34 winners, trailing only Javier Castellano with 41 and Luis Saez second with 36.
Rainbow 6 Carryover: $515,498.58.
