HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park will play host to Florida's biggest Kentucky Derby party Saturday, May 4 with giveaways, official Kentucky Derby merchandise, a women's hat contest, Mint Juleps in souvenir glasses, and five chances to win a $300 wager on the 139th running of the Run for the Roses.

The public will be able to watch and wager on all the races in Florida's most comfortable and luxurious facility. Gulfstream will open the Silks Simulcast room at 10 a.m., while Ten Palms, featuring a $40 all-you-can eat buffet, will open at 11 a.m. First race post time May 4 at Churchill Downs is 10:30 a.m.

Many of the top Kentucky Derby contenders raced and/or wintered at Gulfstream Park or its satellite training facility Palm Meadows. Those include Besilu Stables Florida Derby winner Orb, Holy Bull winner Itsmyluckyday, Wood Memorial winner Verrazano and runner-up Normandy Invasion, Louisiana Derby winner Revolutionary, Arkansas Derby winner Overanalyze and runner-up Frac Daddy, Blue Grass winner Java's War and runner-up Palace Malice, Spiral winner Black Onyx, Kitten's Joy winner Charming Kitten, and Sam Davis winner Falling Sky.

Throughout the morning and afternoon, there will be drawings for official Kentucky Derby merchandise for those purchasing a seat in Silks. There will also be $5 Kentucky Derby Mint Juleps served in official souvenir glasses for all in attendance. Women will be able to enter a hat contest with the winner receiving a $500 cash prize while second and third-place finishers will receive gifts.

During the afternoon, Gulfstream will pull the names of five Gulfstream Park Advantage members and each will win a $100 win, place and show wager on the Kentucky Derby. To register to be a Gulfstream Park Advantage member, simply stop by Silks between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
