Gulfstream Open for Simulcast Wagering Wednesday

MIAMI SPRINGS, FL
– Gulfstream Park announced today that racing at Gulfstream Park West has been cancelled Wednesday through Friday due to Hurricane Matthew.

Hurricane watches and warnings were posted for parts of South Florida Tuesday morning and Florida was placed under a state of emergency.

“The safety of our fans, horses, jockeys, horsemen and employees is our top priority,” said P.J. Campo, Vice President of Racing for The Stronach Group and General Manager of Gulfstream Park. “Because weather conditions the next few days remain uncertain, we thought it was best to call off the next few days and kick off Gulfstream Park West’s meet over the weekend.”

Double entries will be taken Wednesday for Saturday and Sunday with races from the three cancelled days and books races from Saturday and Sunday.
