She kind of got clobbered coming out of the gate, so I think it was a pretty good race for her. I don’t know if she’s nominated for the (Grade I, $500-guaranteed Hollywood Starlet (Dec. 8), I’ll have to see. We weren’t thinking about it, but you never know. She’s a big, long filly. I’d always heard that (her sire) Midnight Lute had a breathing problem or he would have run long. So we’ll see. It’s nice to win a race.”

Notes: Midnight Ballet was not among the early nominees to the Starlet. She would have to be supplemented for $10,000 with an additional $10,000 to start…The stakes win was the first at the Autumn meet for Leparoux since he captured the 2009 Hollywood Prevue with American Lion.
