20-Cent Rainbow 6 Jackpot Swells to $153,497.41
50-cent Pick 5 Carryover Will Be $87,627.85
There were four ‘live’ tickets with the potential to collect the 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot in Saturday’s last race. The jackpot would have been taken down had the 1, 3, 11 or 13 horses won the final leg of the popular multi-race wager. However, the jackpot was carried over to Sunday’s card when No. 2, Minx, scored a $38.40 upset in the finale. There were no tickets with all six winners, and those tickets with five winners each was worth $2,185.58.
The longshot winner ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Edgar Prado also foiled bettors hoping to take down the 50-cent Pick 5, resulting in a $87,627.85 carryover for Sunday’s card. Tickets with four of five winners were worth $409.35 for the wager that covered the final five races on the program.
The Super Hi-5 also went unsolved in the last race, resulting in a $2,704.46 carryover for Sunday’s card. The 2-12-all-all-all combination was worth $450.70.
Who’s Hot: Two-time defending champion jockey Javier Castellano rode a pair of winners: Sea of Faces ($4) in the fifth and Special Jak ($8.20) in the seventh.
