ALBANY -- Russell Baze rode four winners Wednesday at Golden Gate Fields and the four-bagger powered the Hall of Famer to the 100-win mark at fall meeting.

The 67-day fall session concludes Sunday and Baze heads into the final\ four days of the season with a huge 100-56 advantage in the jockey standings over Frank Alvarado. Roberto Gonzalez is third with 54 wins.

Baze won the first race with Crafty Power ($5.00), the third with Hornung ($2.60), the fourth with Devil Cielo ($5.40) and the sixth with Islandhoppertopper ($5.00).

The winningest jockey in North American racing history with 10,349 victories, Baze is on target to win 400 races in a year for the 12th time in his illustrious career. There are nine days left on the 2008 thoroughbred racing calendar in California and Baze has 392 victories on the year.

No other jockey has won 400 races in a year more than three times.

There will be a four-day break for the Christmas holiday following Sunday's program. Golden Gate Fields will open its 2008-2009 winter/spring meeting on Friday Dec. 26.
