ALBANY -- The powerful gray gelding Delightful Kiss tuned up for his start in the $500,000 Breeders' Cup Marathon by working six furlongs in 1:12 flat Sunday morning at Golden Gate Fields.

Delightful Kiss, who captured the Grade 3 All American Stakes at Golden Gate Fields on Sept. 27, is among the 14 horses pre-entered in the Breeders' Cup Marathon.

Post positions for the Marathon, which will be run Saturday at Santa Anita, will be drawn Tuesday.
Delightful Kiss won the 1 1/8-mile All American by one length over 3-to-5 favorite Awesome Gem in 1:49.54, a recording clocking on Golden Gate Fields' Tapeta racing surface. It was the second consecutive recording-setting performance by Delightful Kiss, who won the 1 1/2-mile Turfway Park Fall Championship in a track record 2:32.28 on Sept. 6 at Turfway Park.

Delightful Kiss is the lone horse in the barn of 76-year-old trainer Pete Anderson, a former jockey who rode for 25 years. Owned by Hobeau Farm, Delightful Kiss has won six of his 20 career starts and $708,887.

Cajun jockey Calvin Borel, who guided Delightful Kiss to his victories at Turfway Park and Golden Gate Fields, will be back aboard the 4-year-old Saturday.
