Julien Couton and Russell Baze both won races Friday at Golden Gate Fields and remain tied for first in the jockey standings heading into the final two days of the summer meeting, which concludes Sunday.

Couton went 1-for-6 Friday and scored his victory with heavy favorite Curly Girl ($3.20), who won the fourth race at odds of 3-5. Baze went 1-for-4 and notched his win with first-time starter Mum’s Truckee ($14.60), who rallied down the stretch to win the seventh race at odds of 6-1.

Couton and Baze top the jockey standings with 22 victories through 15 days of racing at the 17-day meeting. Alejandro Gomez is third with 15 wins.

Couton has eights mounts Saturday, including morning-line favorites Go Papi Go (the 2-1 choice in the first race) and A Pint For Mary (5-2 in the sixth race). Couton was originally scheduled to ride seven horses but he picked up the mount on Doctor Park (a 30-1 outsider in the seventh race) when changes were announced Friday morning.

Baze has seven mounts Saturday, including morning-line favorites Slim Pickins (8-5 in the fifth race), Faster Action (5-2 in the eighth), and Janero (5-2 in the ninth).
