Delaware Park, the Delaware Valley's premier racetrack and gaming venue, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jerome Doro as assistant racing secretary.

Doro, who hails from a racing family, began his career in racetrack management working for trainers Anthony Dutrow, Charles H. Hadry and Bob Bealle. For the last eight years, he has worked in a variety of track roles, including claims clerk, paddock judge and horse identifier at the Maryland Jockey Club; the Timonium Race Track, Timonium, MD, and Colonial Downs, New Kent, VA.

"Jerome has a thorough knowledge of operations in the racing office and the officiating positions," said John Mooney, Delaware Park's Executive Director of Racing. "He has an in-depth understanding of horse racing in the mid-Atlantic region and I am pleased he has joined us. His experience will help us manage the daily entries of the overnight races, as well as in the stakes program."

"I am very much looking forward to the challenges and rewards of being an Assistant Racing Secretary at Delaware Park," said Jerome Doro. "This racetrack has a great history and tradition and I am very excited about becoming a part of the Delaware Park family."

The 28-year-old native of Bemidji, Minnesota started his position yesterday.
