Dubai Racing Club hosts a double header racing weekend, with Derrinstown Stud sponsoring the first leg this Thursday.

Derrinstown Stud, a world-class stud based in Ireland, has been a long-standing partner with Dubai Racing Club, having sponsored at the Dubai International Racing Carnival since its inception.

Frank Gabriel Jr, CEO of Dubai Racing Club said: “We are truly indebted to Derrinstown Stud for their continual patronage.

The Dubai International Racing Carnival has gone from strength to strength each year, and this would not have been possible if we did not have the support and loyalty from sponsors such as Derrinstown Stud”.

Stephen Collins, General Manager of Derrinstown Stud added: “We are delighted to say that 2009 is the 13th year of Derrinstown Stud sponsorship at the world renowned Nad Al Sheba Racecourse.

“Over the past 13 years we have built up a formidable and successful partnership with both Nad Al Sheba and the prestigious Dubai Racing Club and we hope this partnership continues to flourish for many years to come”.

Thursday’s meeting offers a number of hospitality options available to suit all tastes and budgets in both the Millennium Grandstand and the Maktoum Grandstand.

Entrance to the public area of the racecourse is free of charge and there are also complimentary transfers to and from Nad Al Sheba from Dubai Marina (by Spinneys), Arabian Ranches (Shopping complex), Wafi (in front of Pyramids) and Emirates Towers (Boulevard entrance by Cartier).

Buses will leave at 6.00pm from these locations, and return departures will be at 10pm from the racecourse.
