Regular rider Manuel Aguilar will be back aboard Dubai Majesty, who won her only previous career try on turf here on June 26 by seven lengths going a mile as she has risen up in class from winning a ‘non-winners’ of two claiming test going six furlongs for $25,000 in early May.
Another solid contender in Friday’s race is Carliwood Farm and partners’ Carolina Mist with Wilmer Galviz in the saddle. The daughter of Mr. Greeley arrived into trainer Henry Collazo’s barn earlier this year after finishing second in a $50,000 turf stakes at Remington Park in her final appearance in November. She finished fifth last out against male rivals in the Gene’s Big Sky overnight on July 20, beaten less than three lengths sprinting five furlongs on turf.
Completing the field are Willowbrook Farm’s Phaleonopsis, Steve Dwoskin’s Fantastic Lisa, Bridle Oaks Racing Stable’s Shegoestoeleven, BMV Thoroughbreds’ Monparts, J D Farms’ Paradise Light and Joseph Lacombe’s Victory by Blue. Left on the also-eligible list are Joseph Balsamo’s Elle Cashareau and Mount Joy Stables’ Cubs Fan, either one a contender if they were to draw in.
