Consigned by Eaton Sales, agent for Overbrook Farm, the filly is out of Genuine Risk Handicap (G2) winner Katz Me If You Can, by Storm Cat.
Blandford Bloodstock paid the day’s second-highest price of $250,000 for a filly by Songandaprayer out of the stakes-placed El Gran Senor mare Forty Gran. She was consigned by Anderson Farms, agent for Kinghaven Farms.
On Wednesday, Keeneland sold 266 horses for $10,244,800, down 30.1 percent from the corresponding session in 2007 when 286 horses brought $14,653,600. Average was down 24.8 percent from $51,236 to $38,514. The median of $30,000 was down 28.6 percent from last year’s $42,000.
Through day nine of the sale, a total of 2,233 horses have been sold for $305,698,100, down 13.8 percent from last year’s $354,714,200 when 2,269 horses sold. The average of $136,900 was down 12.4 percent from $156,331 in 2007, while the median of $80,000 was down 11.1 percent from last year’s $90,000.
