The three riders placed first, second and third, respectively in one of the most exciting finishes in the horseracing history during the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Hollywood Park in 1984, with Day and Wild Again winning in a tight three-horse photo finish over Cordero on Slew o’ Gold and Pincay on Gate Dancer.
WHAT: Hall of Fame Jockeys Day, Cordero and Pincay will sign autographs, t-shirt giveaways and participate in a Q&A session with horseracing fans discussing topics including: the potential showdown in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Classic between near Triple Crown winner Big Brown and 2007 Horse of the Year Curlin, the current state of Thoroughbred racing and memorable moments in Breeders’ Cup history.
