Continuing a parade of favorites, Hyperbaric and jockey Garrett Gomez won the featured $86,360 Harry F. Brubaker Handicap Wednesday in decisive fashion.

Hybaric stalked the pace of leader Canteen until the stretch where he surged away from his rivals, drawing off to win by 2 1/4 lengths in a rapid 1:40.01 for the mile and one-sixteenth over the infield Jimmy Durante Turf Course, with a final sixteenth in 5.3 seconds. The course record for the distance is 1:39.67 set by Mea Domina during the '06 season.

Knockout Artist was second, a length in front of Vauquelin, with Bonjour another two lengths back in fourth in the field of ten older horses.

Hyperbaric, the sixth favorite to succeed in eight races on the eight-race program, paid $4.80, $3 and $2.40 after notching his fifth win in ten starts for owner Prestonwood Racing and trainer Julio Canani. First money of $51,816 increased his earnings to $294,476.

Knockout Artist paid $6 and $4.60, while Vauquelin returned $8.20 to show.

The winner is a five-year-old gelded son of Sky Classic bred in Kentucky.

Wednesday's attendance was 9,840.
