SAN MATEO -- Kyle Kaenel rode four winners Sunday at Bay Meadows and vaulted into first place in the jockey standings at the San Mateo County Fair meeting.

There is no racing at the fair Monday or Tuesday. Racing resumes Wednesday with an eight-race card that begins at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday's program will kick off the final five days of racing at historic Bay Meadows, which will be razed sometime after the fair meeting. The property will be redeveloped for housing and commercial and retail use.

Kaenel won the second race with Go for Cover ($4.40), the third with Avada Kedava ($10.00), the fifth with Shes a Lucky Wager ($5.40) and the seventh with 57-to-1 shot Fan Me ($117.20).

Kaenel tops the standings with seven victories at the halfway point of the 10-day fair session. Omar Figueroa is second with five wins and Frank Alvarado is third with four victories.

Avada Kedava and Shes a Lucky Wager are both trained by John F. Martin, who earned career victories Nos. 998 and 999. Martin will have two chances to record his 1,000th win Wednesday at the fair as he will send out Storming Slew in the third race and Buck Tuddy Buck in the seventh.
