The pair had also won the race back in 2006 and Dynamite was returning to the UAE after a spell racing in Qatar.
Adam Akhbash is his current trainer and Ffrench said: "The yard were confident of a big run and assured me he had been working well. They were right and he enjoyed himself alone in front. It is a nice surprise and great to be back on the horse."
The Listed Thoroughbred version, over the same 1600m, was won by 2009 winner Jaasoos for trainer Dhruba Selvaratnam in the colours of his main patron His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Kieren Fallon was in the saddle on this occasion (replacing William Buick who is in Mauritius) and he said: "That is a relief as we have had a few seconds lately and little went right during the race.
"We could not get any cover and were then forced very wide. I had to go for home and hit the front a bit too soon so it is a great effort by the horse and full credit to him and Dhruba for having him ready first time."
The opening race, a 1600m maiden, was won by Ma'Eror W'Rsan who finished fast and wide under Pat Cosgrave to deny long time leader Dallonni close home.
The winner is trained by Jaci Wickham. Cosgrave said: "It was only his second start and he has clearly learned a lot from his first."
Athena then won her second race of the campaign when making nearly all in a 1400m conditions race.
Trained by Ahmad Al Shamshi, she was ridden by Antioco Murgia who said: "She broke well so I was happy to race prominently. She responded well when challenged in the straight and is a tough little filly."
Eric Lemartinel has enjoyed a great start to the season and saddled yet another 1-2 in the 2200m handicap with Tadhg O'Shea winning for the second week running on Chase Me, followed home by stable companion Sestamania.
O'Shea said: "He only won a week ago so it is commendable he has followed up so quickly. He is still a big baby and was having a good look around in the straight. Hopefully there is more to come."
Stable companion Albar Lotois then doubled his account for the campaign in the concluding 1400m handicap.
