Dhruba Selvaratnam, who trains on the track, saddles both Mulaqat and Mannjal with stable jockey William Buick choosing the latter, explaining: “He has the advantage of race fitness and we know he loves the track.
He is in great form and we hope the 1600m will suit him as he has done his winning over 1400m.
Selvaratnam’s Alo Pura and Buick look like they will be hard to beat in the following 1600m handicap which is confined to fillies and mares, while South African Mike De Kock returns to Jebel Ali action.
A regular visitor to the track, he saddles Musaytir in the concluding 1000m handicap.
