Heading up the effort will by DMTC's vice president for racing, Tom Robbins, who also serves as the track's director of racing and racing secretary. This will be his 29th summer in the seaside racing office.
The Board of Stewards will consist of Scott Chaney, back for his fourth straight summer at the shore; Tom Ward, returning for his fifth summer, and Ingrid Fermin, who has served as a Del Mar steward 12 times previously, most recently in 2004.
Placing judges will be Robert Moreno, Merry Young and Tora Yamaguchi. Patrol judges will be Ken Goldberg, Sue Brent and Heather Correa, with Goldberg doubling as paddock judge. Overseeing the jockeys' room will be clerk of scales Ruben Hernandez, assisted by Charles McCaul.
Other officials for the 37-day meet include Melanie Stubblefield, clerk of the course; Dianne Piper, horse identifier; Jeff Tufts, morning line maker; Victor Tovar, horseshoe inspector; Barrie Grant, D.V.M., track veterinarian, and Jill Bailey, V.M.D., representing the California Horse Racing Board. Additionally, starter Gary Brinson is back for his 12th summer.
