ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2009)—Raiding Party, at odds of 22-1, took Saturday’s 11th and final race and keyed a Pick Six carryover of $155,407 into Sunday at Santa Anita. Returning $46.60 to win, Raiding Party, under David Flores was the longest priced winner on Saturday’s Sunshine Millions program.

Saturday’s Pick Six was contested on races six through 11 and the carryover is the 11th from 23 days of racing.

The sixth race, the $500,000 Sunshine Millions Turf, was taken by post time favorite Soldier’s Dancer under Rafael Bejarano, returning $4.80 to win. The

Florida-bred gelding is trained by David Vivian.

The seventh race, the $250,000 Sunshine Millions Oaks, went to longshot Beltene, returning $23.80. The California-bred filly provided Joel Rosario with his fourth win of the day. She’s trained by Jack Carava.

Race eight, the $300,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint, was taken in dramatic fashion by Georgie Boy under Garrett Gomez. The California-bred gelding paid $6.60 to win, and is trained by Kathy Walsh.

The ninth, the $500,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff, went to favorite Leah’s Secret, a Florida-bred mare trained by Todd Pletcher. Ridden by Eibar Coa, she paid $4.60 to win.

Saturday’s 10th race, a first condition allowance, went to Aitcho, ridden by Mike Smith and trained by John Shirreffs. Aitcho returned $15.60 to win.

Sunday’s Pick Six will consist of races four though nine. First post time is 12:30 p.m.
