OCEANPORT, N.J. – No one picked a winning combination in Sunday’s Place Pick 6 at Monmouth Park, creating a carryover of $5,576 for next Friday’s program.

The Place Pick 6 comprises races four through nine, is a 50-cent wager, and has a takeout rate of just 15 percent.

In order to win the wager the ticket must have a horse finish either first or second in each of the Place Pick 6 races. On Sunday, a winning combination would have involved:

Race 4: Gambaru ($11.40, $6.20); Taylor’s Wise Lion ($8)

Race 5: Fulton Street ($6.60, $3.20); Howelling Wind ($2.60)

Race 6: Beautiful Joe ($26.40, $12.20); Saucy Don ($17.40)

Race 7: High Alpine ($9.60, $4.40); Lotsa Noodles ($6.60)

Race 8: Lil Cherokee ($33.60, $14); King Henry ($6.80)

Race 9: Moonhanger ($10.40, $6.40); Murphys Covert ($11)

The consolation payout for five of six first or second finishers in Sunday’s Place Pick Six was $58.05 for a 50-cent wager.

Gates open at Monmouth Park on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with first post set for 12:45 p.m. The fourth race, start of the Place Pick Six, has an estimated post time of 2:04 p.m.
