BALTIMORE, 05-07-09—The Maryland Jockey Club announced today the final roll call of events for Preakness InfieldFEST, presented by Bud Light, at Pimlico Race Course on Saturday, May 16, 2009.

Plans for the Bud Light InfieldFEST were unveiled February 5. The day will feature a main stage concert with three rock performances, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers ZZ Top, Grammy-nominated Buckcherry and Maryland’s #1 Rock Band, Charm City Devils, along with The Toyota Pro Beach East Women’s Volleyball Tournament and an interactive competition including virtual NASCAR racing, where fans can win over $10,000 in prize money .

InfieldFEST’s celebrity host will be Baltimore native Stacy Keibler, who burst into the entertainment business as a wildly popular professional wrestler 10 years ago and then used a successful stint on “Dancing With The Stars” to transition into a celebrated film and TV career. The former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader will be introducing the performers, signing autographs and interacting with the crowd.

The Bud Light Breakfast Bash will kick off at 8:00 a.m. in the Bud Light Beer Garden. >From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., InfieldFEST fans will enjoy $1.00 draft beer and a slew of entertainment, including a meet and greet with Keibler, photo op with the Bud Light girls, games and prizes, and music with DJ Yummy.

A second InfieldFEST stage will buzz with a wealth of activity, hosting the first ever InfieldFEST Hooters Bikini contest, Sumo wrestling, DJ Grooves spinning records, a set from former Derek St. Holmes (former member of Ted Nugent’s band) plus appearances by 98 Rock DJ’s, WNST’s Nestor Aparicio and the NISL championship Baltimore Blast.

InfieldFEST gates will open at 8 a.m. The $1 million Preakness® Stakes, the famed middle jewel of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown, is the largest single day sporting event in the State of Maryland with attendance figures topping six-figures in nine of the last 10 years, including a record 121,263 in 2007.

NO beverage of any kind (cans or bottles), including alcohol, soft drinks and water will be allowed to be brought into the public Infield. Sixteen ounce beers in plastic cups will be sold for $3.50. Soft drinks will be $2 and bottled water $1.

Coolers and backpacks, containing food, will be permitted in the Infield but coolers larger than 28"l x 15"w x 17"h (and 12” x 12” in the Infield’s Top of the Stretch reserved seat section) will be prohibited. Beach blankets and suntan lotion, cellular phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders, binoculars and lightweight plastic lawn chairs are also allowed in the Infield.
