Skip Cheeseman and Peter Walder's Pyramyst splashed her way to a win in the $100,000 George Rosenberger Memorial at Delaware Park today. The mile and a sixteenth test for fillies and mares was originally scheduled for the turf but transferred to the main track due to heavy rains caused by Tropical Storm Hanna.

The 6-year-old daughter of Pyramid Peak ridden by Ramon Dominguez, won by 1 ¼-length a returned $3.40 as the favorite in the field of six. All Night Labor, with Rosemary Homeister Jr., cut early fractions of :49.97 for the half mile and 1:14.93 for the three-quarters mile before finishing second. It was another 4 ¾-lengths back to Sagamoon, with Mario Pino, in third.

Pyramyst ran the mile and a sixteenth in 1:45.97 over a sloppy main track. The Kentucky-bred trained by Peter Walder raised her career mark to 13 wins from 38 starts with earnings of $295,836.
