The latter will be ridden by Richard Mullen for trainer Saifaldin Deeb who string have been in fantastic form all season but he is taking a significant drop in trip considering his big race win last time, on his UAE bow, was over 2200m.
Watson is also hoping for a big run from Quaolina: "She needed her first runs and won well last time. This has always been the target and she came out of that last win in great form."
Omani raider Mutafani actually finished well in front of Quaolina on his last visit but that was over 1000m when chased home by the re-opposing Ces Bon.
The main support race is the Emirates Colts' Classic, over 1600m, which looks wide open. Wayne Smith and Bakhit Al Ketbi have been in good form and combine with Dahdah, while Mh Al Wadi looked useful when winning on debut.
Pat Dobbs takes the ride for Tony Manuel. Najem Al Khali is another to consider with Royston Ffrench partnering Deeb's charge but with a couple of interesting newcomers in the field it is a hard race to call.
The only Thoroughbred race on the card is the concluding 1600m 3yo conditions event in which it looks significant Royston Ffrench elects to ride Five Cents from a strong Ali Rashid Al Raihe representation.
