ELMONT, N.Y. – While The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) moves its base of operations from Belmont Park to Saratoga Race Course beginning July 29, fans and horse players can catch all the upstate action right here on Long Island through Labor Day.

For all race days during the duration of the Saratoga meet (Wednesday – Monday, July 29 – Sept. 7, 2009) the first and second floor of the Belmont Park Clubhouse, including the Belmont Café and the backyard, will be open for simulcast wagering. On Saturdays and Sundays only, the North Shore Terrace on the fourth floor of the Belmont Clubhouse will also be open. For credentialed NYRA Rewards members and guests only, the Players Club rooms located in the Paddock Dining Area on the second floor will be open, though guest maximums may apply on certain dates.

Admission and general parking are free and gates open at 10:45 a.m. Gates 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike) and 8 (off Plainfield Avenue) will be open to vehicles, and the Clubhouse and Paddock gates will be open for admission. Clubhouse parking is available for $3 and handicapping seats on the second floor will be sold for $3 each at the Clubhouse information booth. Concessions will be open on the first floor (Belmont Café, selling hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, sandwiches, etc.) and the second (Sbarro Italian Eatery and Café Espresso).

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will not stop at Belmont Park after live racing concludes on July 26. Service will resume with the start of the Belmont Fall Championship meet on September 11. Simulcast customers may take the LIRR Hempstead line to Queens Village station and make connections with Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and Long Island buses, or to Floral Park station for taxi service.

The NYRA Guest Services office in the Clubhouse Lobby and the Guest Services information booth on the second floor will be open on race days to assist customers.
