East Rutherford, NJ [Oct. 17, 2009] - Thoroughly Holy drew clear in the final eighth to win the $60,000 P.G. Johnson Stakes, a five-furlong event moved off the turf and on to a good/off main track, Saturday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.

With Jose Lezcano in the irons, Thoroughly Holy wore down the pacesetter Glitter City late in the final furlong for a 1 1/2-length victory in 55.1. Don'tgetsuspicious finished a distanced third. Thoroughly Holy paid $9.60 to win the eighth race feature.

Trainer Gregory DiPrima and owner Angelo Defilippis paid $35,000 to claim Thoroughly Holy out of a victory at Saratoga in her last start. Linda Rice previously trained the 3-year-old daughter of Holy Bull, who improved her record to four wins in seven career starts.
