Repole Stable’s Uncle Mo was the 3-1 morning line favorite for the three-day pool and those were the odds on the Todd Pletcher-trained juvenile champion when wagering concluded at 6:05 p.m. (all times EDT) on Sunday, April 3. But the odds dropped sharply Robert LaPenta’s Dialed In during the pool’s final minutes in the aftermath of his last-to-first rally to edge longshot Shackleford in the $1 million Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park. The Nick Zito-trained Dialed In was a 10-1 risk when the starting gate opened for the Florida Derby at 5:46 p.m,, but his odds dropped sharply to 5-1 when wagering in the pool ended. Churchill Downs officials added five minutes to the pool because the results of the Florida Derby were declared officials so close to the end of the pool.

The Kentucky Derby Future Wager provides fans with opportunities to wager on potential contenders for the famed “Run for the Roses” at odds that could be much more attractive than those available on the day of America’s greatest race. It offers win and exacta wagering, and all bets are $2 minimum wagers, and there are no scratches or refunds on any KDFW wager. If it is determined during any KDFW pool that an individual horse has suffered an illness, injury or other circumstance that would prevent the horse from competing in Kentucky Derby, wagering on that interest will be suspended immediately.
