Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) is advising its customers who will be attending the 149th running of the Queen's Plate Stakes on Sunday, June 22 that they may want to arrive at Woodbine Racetrack early. There is currently a labour dispute between the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) representing the Ontario Lottery Gaming (OLG) security staff and the OLG.

This CAW labour dispute does not relate in any way to Woodbine Entertainment Group.
The CAW recently issued a media advisory indicating that its members would be stepping up picketing activity on Woodbine's biggest race day which may cause delays for vehicles entering the site.

Woodbine Entertainment Group has sought permission from the Woodbine Centre, located opposite the racetrack on Rexdale Boulevard, for its racing customers to park on their property. Customers deciding to walk across the picket lines to avoid the possible vehicle delays, should cross Rexdale Boulevard at the lights.

Queen's Plate day will be an exciting day of racing with an impressive field of 15 horses. First race post-time is 12:25 p.m. with the Queen's Plate Stakes going off at 5:06 p.m. On-site Horse Player Interactive (HPI) customers will receive double rewards points on all Woodbine races for the day.

Woodbine Entertainment Group looks forward to entertaining you in royal style.
