Post time is 12:45 p.m. and fans attending the nine-race card will receive a free Golden Gate Fields long sleeve shirt.
The Pacific Heights is for California-bred fillies and mares and will be run at 1 1/16-miles on Tapeta. The feature is the eighth race on the card and is scheduled to be run at 4:15 p.m.
Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, You Lift Me Up collected her second stakes win on Nov. 15 when she captured the Audrey Skirball-Kenis Stakes on the Hollywood Park turf. Digging in gamely down the stretch, You Lift Me Up hung on to win the 1 1/8-mile race by a head.
The Pacific Heights will mark You Lift Me Up's first race on the synthetic Tapeta surface. The 3-year-old filly has worked well on Tapeta, as evidenced by a half-mile drill in :47 3/5.
Owned in partnership by Hollendorfer and George Todaro, You Lift Me Up has five victories in 16 career starts and $178,778 in earnings. Russell Baze will ride You Lift Me Up in the Pacific Heights.
The field for the Pacific Heights, in post position order, is as follows: Bartok's Bling, Roberto Gonzalez rides at 123 pound, 6-to-1 on the morning line; Tutta Bella, Julio Garcia, 123, 7-to-5; Star Voyager, Kyle Kaenel, 123, 15-to-1; Shes a Lucky Wager, Luis Martinez, 121, 10-to-1; You Lift Me Up, Baze, 121, 2-to-1; Lady Railrider, Frank Alvarado, 121, 10-to-1; and Film Editor, William Antongeorgi, III, 123, 15-to-1.
Morning-line favorite Tutta Bella ships in from Hollywood Park, where her trainer, John Sadler, is the leading conditioner. A 5-year-old mare, Tutta Bella won the Fran's Valentine Stakes at Hollywood Park last spring.
Tutta Bella has four wins and four seconds in 15 lifetime starts and easily tops the Pacific Heights field in earnings with a bankroll of $279,144.
