HUDSON STEELE WINS HENRY CLARK STAKES IN SEASON DEBUT
BALTIMORE, 04-28-12---Roger J. Weiss’ Hudson Steele was content to travel in third, then charged by the pacesetters and powered away to a victory in today’s feature at Pimlico Race Course, the $75,000 Henry S. Clark Stakes.
Contested under light rain over a firm turf course, the Clark attracted ten runners. At the end of the one mile test, Hudson Steele had won by 2-1/4 lengths with Monument Hill rallying past El Commodore to take second. The winning time was 1:38.50.
