SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Next week’s graded stakes get underway on Friday, August 3, with the Grade 2, $200,000 Honorable Miss Handicap, a six-furlong sprint for fillies and mares. Beat the Blues and Bold Affair are questionable.

On Saturday, August 4, the $750,000 Whitney Invitational Handicap headlines a card that also boasts the Grade 1, $300,000 Prioress. Expected for the Whitney, a “Win and You’re In” race for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, are Grade 1 winners Flat Out, Hymn Book, Ron the Greek, along with Endorsement, Fort Larned, Hunters Bay, Rule, Successful Dan and Trickmeister.
