Pick Six Wager Launches With $30,000 Pool On June 5
Horseplayers will have a lot of free cash to aim at with the introduction of a new harness wager.
On Saturday, June 5, Meadowlands Racetrack and Yonkers Raceway will launch the Metro 6 Shooter, a pick six wager with $30,000 added to the net pool.

AT THE DISCO DANCES TO ALYSHEBA WIN
East Rutherford, NJ [Nov. 27, 2009] - At The Disco controlled the tempo the whole way en route to a two-length victory in the $65,000 Alysheba Stakes Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Ridden by Daniel Centeno, At The Disco covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.3 over a fast main track and paid $23.60 to win. Dubai Gold rallied four wide to grab the place spot from Broadway Producer, who yielded in the final sixteenth after taking close aim at the winner early in the stretch.

FIELD SET FOR MEADOWLANDS FRIDAY FEATURE
A competitive field of multiple stakes winners will assemble for the $65,000 Alysheba Stakes when live racing resumes Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Encaustic, winner of the $125,000 Mountaineer Mile last out, is rated as the 5-2 morning line favorite from post nine in the 1 1/16-miles Alysheba Stakes. The Mark Shuman trainee has hit the board in nine of 13 starts this season with three victories, including the $75,00 Labor Day at Mountaineer. He was third, beaten only a half-length, in the $70,000 Formal Gold Stakes on Sept. 19 at Monmouth Park. Lifetime, the 5-year-old son of Broad Brush has won seven of 37 starts and $463,385.

TALAMO WINS FIVE, INCLUDING MOCCASIN ABOARD BICKERSONS
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2009) — Jockey Joe Talamo capped a four-win afternoon with a victory aboard eastern horse Bickersons in the $100,000 Moccasin Stakes on Sunday at Hollywood Park.
Talamo, 19, rode a perfect race, briefly relinquishing the lead on the backstretch when Bickersons was challenged by Neeko, and the Canadian-bred had plenty left when challenged by favorite Crisis of Spirit rounding the far turn.

LADY ALEXANDER WIRES FIELD IN HONEY BEE STAKES
East Rutherford, NJ [Nov. 20, 2009] - Lady Alexander led every step of the way to win the $60,000 Honey Bee Stakes, her first try around two turns, Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Lady Alexander cleared the lead from Love That Dance out of the gate and rolled through preliminary fractions of 23.1 and 46.2 before repelling a challenge by Roxyana as they approached the far turn. She extended her lead at the head of the lane and held off a late rush by Our Khrysty to win the event for 3-year-old fillies by 1 1/4 lengths. Lady Alexander was clocked in 1:42 for the 1 1/16 miles with Chuck C. Lopez aboard. She paid $17.80 to win the eighth race feature.

MEADOWLANDS RACETRACK ANNOUNCES 2010 SCHEDULE
The 2010 Harness Meet at Meadowlands Racetrack begins the first weekend of the New Year with 7 p.m. cards on Friday, January 1 and Saturday, January 2.
The track will follow a Wednesday - Sunday racing schedule through March. Post times are 7 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday and 1:10 p.m. Sunday. In addition, a matinee card will be raced at 1:10 p.m. on President's Day, Monday, February 15.

Love That Dance, a multiple stakes winner for the Ben Perkins Jr. barn, looms the one to beat in the $60,000 Honey Bee Stakes Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
The daughter of Not For Love tops a field of 11 three-year-old fillies set to fly in the mile and a sixteenth event. She is rated at 4-1 on the morning line from post 10 with Elvis Trujillo listed to ride. Bred and owned by John Petrini, Love That Dance enters the Honey Bee with a career slate of five wins, four seconds and one third in 16 career starts. Two of her three wins last season came at the Meadowlands, where she closed out her freshman campaign with a five-length win over a sloppy track in the New Jersey Juvenile.

DAKOTA DOLL DANCES TO THIRD STRAIGHT WIN IN MEADOWLANDS FEATURE
East Rutherford, NJ [Nov. 17, 09] -- Dakota Doll gained command of the lead in the stretch and drew off to win the $52,000 seventh race allowance by 4 1/2 lengths on Tuesday afternoon at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Elite Miss stalked the pace from the outside and rallied to finish second, while Livinfastforward faded to third after setting the tempo. Dakota Doll stepped the six furlongs in 1:10.2 with Paco Lopez in the irons. She paid $8.60 to win.

Love Who, Karmageddon Capture Jersey Juvenile Divisions
Love Who was the standout performer as two-year-old state breds took center stage in the $60,000 Jersey Juvenile Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Love Who crushed the field in the colts division by 10 3/4 lengths to pick up his first stakes trophy in five career efforts. Ridden by Stewart Elliott, Love Who matched strides with Pinelands Pete through preliminary fractions of :22, 44.3 and 55.2 before pulling away at the top of the lane. He stopped the teletimer in 1:09 for the six-furlong test over a fast main track.

NJ ESQ TO STATE HER CASE IN FRIDAY’S NEW JERSEY JUVENILE
With no record to speak of, N J Esq will enter Friday night’s New Jersey Juvenile Stakes as a wildcard entrant for owner Dennis Drazin, Esq. But what she lacks in experience she hopes to make up for in fight as she faces a full field of rivals in the six furlong contest for New Jersey breds.
“I’ve been trying to get her to a race and the timing just didn’t work to run in a maiden race and then the stakes,” said Drazin, who owns and bred N J Esq. “I could have run her in a maiden race and then missed the stakes, but she’s been training really well that I thought she deserved a shot in here.”

BAD ACTION PROVES TO BE SMART BET IN PEGASUS
East Rutherford, NJ [Nov. 6, 2009] - Bad Action and jockey Dave Cohen drew clear in the final strides to win the $150,000 Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes at 11-1 odds on Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Bad Action settled at the back of the pack while the quick-footed Lord Justice dictated the early pace and slid into fourth as they reached the half-mile marker in :46. He swung to the outside on the final turn and edged past the drifting Big Top for a half-length victory. Iqbaal, the 4-5 favorite, moved wide on the turn but could not catch the leaders and finished third. Bad Action stopped the teletimer in 1:49 for the 1 1/8 miles on a fast main track and paid $24 to win.
