In Friday’s Feature, the Millers Have It

Seventh Race

1 ABROKENART HANOVER Defeated what I maintain was the strongest of the three divisions. It is interesting that Campbell chose off.

1A ALWAYS ON A ROLL Overcame the wide draw to win last week. Rewarded with post 10 yet again. Loses Andy as well. Still a contender.

2 WOMAN OF TERROR Making her second start off the layoff. She wasn’t bad last week either. Took a lot of air and still paced home strong.

3 NUTMEGS CIDER Parlayed a perfect second over trip into a 24-1 upset last week. Can she duplicate that effort at a shorter price? Tricky.

4 FANCY PANTS SANDY Caught behind a stalled horse in the pocket and rallied well up the pylons. A repeat of that puts her in the mix.

5 SYNERGY SEELSTER Sat 2nd over behind the winner last week but could not keep pace. She will need to step up her game to win this.

6 JARNAC Continues to out-race her odds each and every start. She is versatile as well. It wouldn’t be wise to leave her off your tickets.

7 ITS DE LOVELY Angled with pace last week and almost got there. Could be poised to work out a live cover trip. Another contender in here.

8 CULT STATUS I suppose she was disappointing last week as I didn’t see any excuse. Still, she has class. The all button is your friend here.

9 KZ BEACH GIRL I suppose she is the longshot, but it is not as if she raced badly last week. I really cannot dismiss her completely either.

Dark Horse in Friday Meadowlands Feature

1 AMIGO RANGER Very odd Horse & Groom finally with a cluster of breakers. Must bounce back to one of his better efforts. Outsider here.

2 WORLD CUP He was good last time, showing speed on both ends of the mile. Seems to be rounding into form. One of several contenders.

3 REAL BABE She loomed up last week, but was a bit short. That’s no problem as she will only get better from here. Logical win player.

4 BANKER VOLO Did enough to earn a check in the Horse & Groom. This level though is tougher and might be a bit out of reach for now.

5 DRIFT AWAY Performed better than I anticipated last week. Facing several of the same contenders. Must repeat that effort to contend.

6 UNDERCOVER STRIKE Defeated Quick Deal in that qualifier. Interesting move to the Czernyson barn as well. Worth a long look here.

7 SWEET JUSTICE Good to see him get back to his winning ways last week. Now, faces a bit tougher of an assignment. Still will be tough.

8 QUICK DEAL Appeared a little short in that qualifier. When this horse is on top of his game, he is crazy fast. Looms as a wild card here.

Picks: 6-2-7-3

Winter Survivor Series Final Tops Big M Saturday Program

Great night of racing headed by the Winter Survivor Final as well as two divisions of the Clyde Hirt Series. An handicapping look at tonight's 10th race:

1 CANE RIDGE Dominant winner last time and we could all see that coming. He seems to be peaking at the right time. Major contender.

1A HACIENDA He has been a bit disappointing thus far, but he isn’t missing the mark by much. A nice compliment to Cane Ridge. Maybe.

2 MC RUSTY He won’t be 4-5 this week and he wasn’t exactly bad last week. If they mix it up early, he could be a beneficiary. Logical player.

3 PREDATOR DVM He looks like he is a bit overmatched. That said, he was only beaten a combined 4 lengths in this series. Big price looms.

4 TAMAYO Turned a perfect trip into the win last time. He might be even sharper this time after skipping Round 2. One of the major players.

5 MALOSI N He has been consistent since shipping in from Ohio. Interesting to see him pick up Morrill here and he might be ready to pop.

6 MATTADOR D This guy just keeps on coming. I wonder what Bongiorno is going to do, because this horse can leave. Prime contender.

7 ASTREOS FLASH He also has been racing well, but things always get tougher in the Final. So he will need to find a little bit more to win.

8 YOU BET YOUR GLASS Despite losing Tetrick, I am going to take a flyer. This horse was rolling last week. Just needs a good trip. Value!

9 DANIEL SEMALU Draws the worst post and really enters this probably in the worst form of this field. Looks like the longshot of the group.

Picks: 8-6-1-5
