$20 MILLION SAUDI CUP

Saudi racing officials announced Wednesday the inaugural $20 million Saudi Cup, at nine furlongs on dirt, will be run February 29, 2020 at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh. The winner of the world’s richest race will earn $10 million.

The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia limited the field to 14 entrants and will pick up the tab for all. The race falls between Gulfstream Park’s Pegasus World Cup Invitational in January and the Dubai World Cup (G1) at Meydan in March.
