A typically competitive sprint for graded horses at Gulfstream’s Championship Meet and of the seven entered, the field boasts but one multiple winner at the trip, contributing to the open nature of this matchup.
Ridden by local boy Tyler Gaffalione, the 5-year-old horse has done his best recent racing since Mike Maker took over following his lone try at Saratoga.
Subsequently, he was second to the streaking Just Might last fall and suffered a wide trip in the 6F G2 Phoenix from which runnerup Aloha West emerged to win the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
Last out he was a relentless third after losing ground throughout the 7F optional allowances against an overall tougher se tthan he meets here in his return to Hallandale where he has shown an affinity for the surface  1-1-1.
