When QB Jared Goff was being evaluated prior to the 2016 NFL Draft
he scored huge (36) on the Wunderlich Report. A main concern, though,
was his Trump-sized hands (read: small). Perhaps it’s what’s led to his 14
fumbles in the last 13 games. While Goff is far from a “short-fi ngered
vulgarian”, we do know that defending Super Bowl losers are 13-28
SUATS away in division games against foes coming off a double-digit
win, including 2-15 SU and 3-14 ATS when the defending champions
are off an ATS loss in their last game. Furthermore, his counterpart
Seattle QB Russell Wilson, is 11-2-1 ATS in his NFL career in games against
foes coming off a SU favorite loss – including 9-0 ATS when not favored
by 5 or more points in those games. From another perspective, the
Seahawks return home for the first time after losing a September home
game for the first time ever under head coach Pete Carroll, losing to New
Orleans at CenturyLink Field two weeks ago despite pounding the Saints in the stats, 515-265. With Wilson 7-1 SU and 6-0-2 ATS on Thursdays, and
Carroll 3-0 SUATS at home off a previous home loss when facing division
foes when coming off a division game, we can’t wait for this Thursday
to get here
