The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Today’s feature race in Oldsmar to begin the racing week looks like to two-horse race between two juvenile turf fillies racing in excellent form; favorite Hail To (7-5) and second choice, Style (5-2).

Style makes her Oldsmar debut for the familiar team of Arnaud Delacour and Daniel Centeno. After breaking [tuft] in her second start, she suffered through a wide trip in a stakes, all her runs coming at Delaware Park.

Her figures are forward looking and this top turf team’s filly draws the rail. Formidable indeed.

But it’s Hail To that we prefer as trainer Tom Albertrani has decided to make Northern Florida his winter base as opposed Broward and Palm Beach counties as he had in the past.

After also breaking maiden in start two, Hail To held her own in the G2 Miss Grillo on New York despite compromising her chances badly by bearing out into and around the first turn, beaten less than four lengths for it all.

Since that effort, she’s worked six times, including to locally, and in addition to the class relief, Albertrani taps turf ace Jesus Castanon– 3-for-3 most recently as a team. The spacing for Albertani’s filly is perfect, and profitable, for this barn.

Nothing fancy in Tampa Bay Today: We’re taking Hail To to win, no price restrictions, and an exacta box with Style.
