The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

By Marc Lawrence — On the heels of the Breeders Cup yesterday, the 2020 NFL season enters it’s second-half today. With it, the schedule is stacked with great matchups, stats to know, and betting nuggets. ESPN’s NFL Nation shares a bevy of them on each and every game on today’s card, such as: The Ravens are one of three squads that haven’t lost on the road this season (3-0) … The Seahawks are allowing 358.7 passing yards per game; no team has ever allowed even 300 passing yards per game over the course of a full season … When Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill starts regular-season games for Tennessee, “overs” are 15-2, including 6-1 this season … The Giants have covered seven straight and 16 out of 20 on the road since 2018 … To read more on every team click here.

Grinding Out The Profits

From this week’s PLAYBOOK Football Totals Tipsheet Newsletter: When Jacksonville hosts Houston in an AFC South division battle on Sunday they will do so knowing that NFL teams from Game Five out are 0-12 UNDER the total when both teams allowed 35-plus points in their last game. With the Texans 0-6 UNDER in games after surrendering 35 or more points, and the Jaguars 0-6 UNDER after coughing up 35-plus points, the UNDER fits like a tailored suit in this division battle.
