Any Belmont development news Mark other than the unauthorized chopper ride that some Floral Park officials took over Belmont Park? I think they said they were checking on a evacuation plan for the school. Is work still ongoing?

Digging continues as they have to pour the foundation before the cold weather sets in.
The people of Floral Park have lost their compass and are clutching at straws.
“Stephen McAllister, Floral Park police commissioner, said in an interview that the village police department’s request “for a bird’s-eye view” of construction at Belmont was legitimate.
McAllister cited the need to develop a new emergency evacuation plan for Floral Park-Bellerose School, an elementary school that abuts the northwest side of the Belmont parking lot.”
This is hilarious. But authority figures using kids as a trojan horse has been going on since the beginning of time. Isn’t McAllister paid something like $300,000 per year to keep order on the notoriously mean streets of Floral Park? Doesn’t seem like a better excuse should be above his pay grade.

Yesterday, three helicopters passed over Belmont and we joked about it being a squad from Floral Park. The people running that village have apparently lost their compass.
I would think there is some kind of protocol when a Village PD wants to use county PD resources, now if the real reason they took the chopper ride was to check on a evacuation plan for the school is another story, seems like shortly after the chopper ride the lawsuit was filed. Once again it looks like we are going to have a battle between the TOH GOP vs the Democrats led by the Governor, only this time it’s State land which will end up making all the difference.
I also read that a judge has been assigned.
