By Marc Lawrence, PlaybookSports.com — The NFL and college football delivered as promised this past week. In addition, it appears the Big Ten has finally grown a pair, and is also ready to deliver, now having Michigan in its sights. The University of Michigan has reportedly received an official notice from the Big Ten Conference regarding the sign-stealing scandal. Brett McMurphy reports that the Wolverines have been notified, though no specific penalties are outlined. Michigan has until Wednesday to respond to the notice, which outlines the allegations against the program. Michigan views the Big Ten’s pursuit against them as a ‘PR move.’ “The Big Ten’s pursuit of penalties against Michigan and/or Jim Harbaugh is viewed as a “PR stunt” in response to public pressure, and in light of the conference’s lack of action up to this point, the source said. UM will legally fight any disciplinary actions, which potentially would block any suspensions from occurring this season, sources said,” McMurphy reported. Let the games begin.
