1 ROSE RUN VICTORIA – New barn alert here! But, the filly has been off way too long. This is probably not the right spot for her, right off the bat here, so I’ll take a pass and watch one for future evaluation. Let’s see if she sticks close.
2 ALEXA SKYE – I’ve already guessed wrong on her twice, so what to do on the big class hike now? That’s a good question. She drew first inside post in forever, so that has to help. Packs a real nice kick in her bag. Only needs trip.
3 NEVERFORGETWHOUR – Invades from Yonkers on the drop, but still has to be considered one of the longshots tonight. Wasn’t Dexter’s pick, but that’s understandable. I guess I’d be surprised if she beat these.
4 MARLOE HANOVER – Comes out of an even effort behind the easy winner, Caviart Ally. But, it wasn’t bad. I’m a bit confused why she’s still racing at this point. Stakes season is over, right? She was getting good there in October.
5 TANGO DANCER N – Paid off handsomely on the slight class drop last time. That’s her move! The quick brush and crush. It won’t be quite that easy in here, but she can do it again. Has perfect post for her style. Only knock: Dex on 9.
6 RACINE BELL – Gets stuck in another tough spot, second trip to Club Med. I would hope there’s an easier spot for her somewhere down the road. I guess she just won too many races up in New York. Still a big longshot vs. these.
7 NEW YEAR – Another 3YO exiting stakes competition. Wondering what the plan is for her going forward. Maybe that $100K race for Matchmaker eligible? She is talented enough to win a Jugette elim. Has never won here at the Med.
8 BRONSKIMACKENZIE A – Definitely in very good form right now, but she’s probably worked her way too high in class. That, plus the post, plus the loss of Andy Mac make her suspect in this spot. I will wait for better spot.
9 BETTORS HEART N – What do we do with this one tonight? She had her “trip over the track.” She was better than you think, too! The barn is heating up. I guess I left my handicapping up to Dexter. He chose this one tonight. Enuf for me.

1 PREACHER MAN – Nice spot here, making second start for the new barn. Yes, the scratch concerns me, but this is a field full of question marks and he makes no mistakes. Never easy for a 2YO to beat older, but G Nap will get a trip.
2 CHING CHING LUCKY – Not a whole lot going on here. Looking very much like a longshot again. Second try.
3 LIGHT BLUE MOVERS – Could end up favored here, but not quite like the price at Philly. Don’t know why he made the break there, but not every trotter gets over that track. Also new barn in play. They’ll figure him out. Soon.
4 MIZZY BRENDA K – Filly with a very nice pedigree here. Tetrick seems to get along with her, but opted for #6 tonight. Owns that one good move in her bag. Timing and trip will be critical, as always for other Hall of Fame pilot.
5 COCONUT KATE – As stated, Kate is just starting to get good. And one night soon, she’s going to graduate and win another. It could even be tonight, from the ideal midpack post. Marcus HAS to get her an easier trip, though.
6 GROSSETO AS – A bit flat here, and then just okay at Philly. That one speed try here was her best effort and this field has plenty of closers. Might be time for the more aggressive attempt. Not totally out of the question, as Tim’s pick.
7 UNPAID ADVISOR – Another that will stick on the large longshot list. Hasn’t really liked the Med just yet. Pass.
8 MANHATTANUP NO ICE – After the initial miscue at Yonkers, I guess he figured it out. Second try there was much better, and I’ll give him a pass for the off track last time. It will be dry here. Is he a real big track horse? We’ll see.
9 SWEET TEA – Barn hasn’t had much luck here yet, but that can change. Pocono is now closed, so we should see more Brabrook horses here. I love the speed, but not this post. I will consider using underneath in some gimmicks.
10 MY BOY CHRISTIAN – Hasn’t been getting very lucky lately. But I will remind you of that solid try here back in October. That wasn’t bad! Tonight’s problem, of course, is the post. How does he get into it? I don’t know.
