WOE BE THE BENGALS

By Marc Lawrence, PlaybookSports.com — Can things be any worse for the Cincinnati Bengals? They hit worst-case status with star quarterback Joe Burrow leaving the Ravens game with a right wrist injury last night. Jake Browning came in to relieve Burrow and the former undrafted free agent was unable to move the team. Now at 5-5 and with the long-term health of one of the NFL’s best passers a question mark again, the next two weeks will say much about the 2023 Bengals as they take on Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. Injury to Burrow or not, the defense entered the game giving up more explosive plays than most units in the NFL and nothing changed last night. They need DC Lou Anarumo to re-assert the defense ASAP
