The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

An interesting Thursday feature for three year old preliminary allowance types that have the pedigree and connections to go into stakes company.

The last time Rudders’ Man (5-2) raced, the performance was embarrassing; don’t expect the team of Todd Pletcher and Irad Ortiz Jr. to be embarrassed twice.

Actually, there a good explanation: check out the early splits, the pace, and the pace pressure was too much for the colt making his first start in Hallandale. Check out Race 9 on JAN 8 at Gulfstream and see.

With an outside draw this time and a recent run over the track, we expect something more like his debut when he was an eight-length winner at this trip in Queens.

Subsequent to his last race, he sports two bullets for his return.

Taking Rudders’ Man to win, no price restrictions, and exacta box with Bring Theband Home (5-1), making his season’s debut for Mark Casse.
