LAWRENCE: A LOOK AT COLLEGE FOOTBALL’S DAZZLING DOZEN

Thought For The Day

Resident Playbook Expert Rob Vinciletti breaks down his top 12 teams for the 2019 football season. One team he likes particularly well is Oregon as he notes: “The Ducks won 9 games last season and will be Washington’s biggest threat in the Pac-12. They’ll need QB Justin Herbert to stay healthy. But they are loaded on both sides of the ball with 17 starters back and could better than they are rated. We’ll be looking at them hard when they play with home loss revenge at Stanford.” For more on Rob’s dazzling dozen click here.

MLB History Book

Washington: Sanchez 6-1 $ L7 starts, and 4-0 $ L4 in July … Mets: 2-12 away Game Three of a series this season … Milwaukee: 11-2 home Game Three of a series this season … Arizona: Greinke 7-1 $ in July … Cubs: Quintana 6-0 $ in July … Atlanta: Soroka 7-0 $ L7 starts … Baltimore: 2-11 Sundays and 2-10 home Game Three of a series this season … Kansas City: Bailey 0-6 $ in July.

Grinding Out The Profits

When the Dodgers send Hyun-Jin Ryu to the bump in Boston this evening they will do so knowing he is 6-1 in his last seven away team-starts in July. In addition, Ryu has been in commanding KW form this entire season with 95 Ks and 9 BBs in his 14 overall starts. Look for L.A. to improve to 14-2 on Sundays this season in this prime-time special.
