GOING GULFSTREAM – FEB 10

Interesting turf mile to begin the racing weekend in Hallandale, an NX3-optional going a mile and a competitive route it is.

It has attracted a full field and the speed is breaking from the outside and from mid-gate and, assuming a clean break.

The two speedsters should set things up nicely for a sharp Sky’s Night Falling (9-2) who’s won over the course and loves this trip: (13) 4-4-1.

Compromised at the start of his last where apparently he was unprepared for the start– Gulfstream Park, JAN 13, Race 7–he rallied up 4 wide at the second turn, took a narrow lead but tired from the enervating trip, beaten 1-1/4 lengths by classy dropdown English Bee.

We’re going for the recency here with Emisael Jaramillo on the re-ride for Michael Trombetta.

As wide as as this is, we’ll take the gelded 5-year-old at early line odds or better and key-boxing exactas with classy Canadian ship-in price shot First Emperor (8-1) and Call Me Henry (7-2), making his first start off the Mike Maker barn change.
