GOING GULFSTREAM – JULY 22

Trainer David Fawkes has an uncoupled pair lined up for Saturday’s featured Azalea Stakes for three year old fillies at 7 furlongs and both will be formidable.

Trust Me (5-2) jumped up big time with addition of Lasix to win her last by daylight at 6 furlongs and likely will try to lead them on a merry chase.

But her mate Charlie’s Wish seems better suited to today’s trip and rates an edge with us of the two.

However, we’ll try to upset the entry with Flakes (2-1), who likes this course and who has worked a brisk half-mile for trainer Juan Alvarado. Edgard Zayas gets the call.

Betting Flakes to win at 2-1 or greater and key her in exotics first and second with the Fawkes runners.
