GOING GULFSTREAM – SEP 16

Friday’s feature in Hallandale is a tricky one, an optional allowances for fillies going six furlongs, a race where a good number of contenders are coming off layups.

With a good deal of speed signed on, the chances of a meltdown look plausible. Saffie Joseph Jr. has two in here coming off the bench and Coach Jer’s Joy (8-1) is the more interesting of the pair.

However, favorite Dem A Wonder (2-1), one of two entered by Rohan Crichton, has a little too much going for her in this spot, not the least of which is recent conditioning.

Her stalk and pounce style suits the dynamics today and if none of her rivals want the lead, Emisael Jaramillo would waste little time taking advantage.

Consistently faster than the group. Dem A Wonder (2-1) loves the game as her lifetime slate of (26) 8-7-3 attests, she runs well from inside posts, including the rail, and her last two wins have been with Jaramillo who is climbing back on board today.

If she gets into a fight, she won’t back down. See her race at Gulfstream, JUL 15, Race 7 to see if you agree. Throw in consistently fast performance figures yields a complete winning picture.

We’re taking Dem A Wonder to win, no price restrictions, and a quinella with Coach Jer’s Joy.
